At a public fundraising event on Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden labelled Russian President Vladimir Putin a “crazy SOB,” a comment that the Kremlin deemed “shameful.”
“We’ve got Putin, that lunatic SOB, and others. And the prospect of a nuclear war must always be on our thoughts. However, Biden reminded those present at the event that “the environment poses a fundamental threat to humanity.
The Kremlin claimed on Thursday that Biden’s remarks were a “huge disgrace” for the United States in reaction to his remarks. Biden also chastised former President Donald Trump for comparing his legal issues to the passing of Kremlin-critic and leader of the Russian opposition, Alexey Navalny.
“If I stood here 10 to 15 years ago and said all this, you’d all think I should be committed,” the president stated, paraphrasing the remarks made by his predecessor.
He’s drawing comparisons between himself and Navalny, claiming that he was punished similarly to Navalny because our nation had turned communist. Reporters present heard Biden ask, “Where the hell does this come from?” If I had said all of this ten or fifteen years ago, you would all have assumed that I ought to be a
dedicated person. It’s incredible.
The front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, Donald Trump, has not yet denounced Russia or Putin for Navalny’s killing, in sharp contrast to Biden and other Western leaders.
Biden slammed Trump’s recent remarks as “an admission that he intends to give Putin a green light for more war and violence” because they suggest that he would not protect a NATO nation from a Russian invasion if that nation doesn’t satisfy defense budget criteria.
In response to the former president’s remarks earlier this month, Biden stated, “Trump is making it clear that he will abandon our NATO allies.”
“I’m suitable to say that similar rude claims from the leader of the US government aren’t likely to upset the the head of another country, particularly Putin, who’s the chairman, but this is a huge shame for the nation, and by that I mean for the entire nation of the United States,” Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin prophet, replied when asked by an bystander for state- possessed system Russia.
He went on to say,” It ought to be terrible if the leader of a nation like that uses similar language.” “It’s obvious that Mr. Biden is acting like a Hollywood cowboy in order to appease domestic political interests.”
Biden compared Republicans to Strom Thurmond, a former South Carolina senator who campaigned on segregation, in a San Francisco fundraising event, referring to them as the “party of chaos and division.”
Since 1972, the senator has worked with bigots and individuals breaking racial records. Biden criticized these individuals for not believing in core democratic principles and stating that Republicans are a party of disarray and division, highlighting their racial record breaking.
Additionally, Biden tried to set himself apart from Trump by informing the audience that nine heads of state had advised him to “win” in November. “A head of government will find a way to approach me as I leave the talks.” They say, “You must prevail.” Not because I’m exceptional. “My democracy is at stake if another guy wins, so you must win.” Biden stated, “Nine government leaders did that with me,” according to reports.
According to the White House, venture investor John Doerr introduced the president at one of the events that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attended. Before heading back to the White House for the evening on Thursday, Biden is scheduled to make an appearance at another campaign event in Los Altos Hills,
California.
