Hate Crime against the Jew, Muslim and Arabs in Ohio has increased dramatically. The FIB and the state department has assured people about the safety by increasing patrol.
The on-going war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, has resulted in massive destruction in infrastructure and killing a lot of Innocent life. After the Hamas led an attack on Israel, IDF responded with a ground invasion of the Gaza strip with cutting off the essential services like food, water and electricity. This caused inhuman suffering for the elderly and vulnerable medical patients.
A group of pro-palestinian supporters have gathered in massive number around Columbus street to show solidarity for their family back home.
The rally was addressed as “All out for Gaza”.
People hoisted the Palestinian flag and stopped at frequent intervals to give speeches. The Columbus sheriff took one individual under custody for disorderly conduct. The Sheriff department was concerned due to a potential clash between the crowd of pro-palestinian supporters and OSU game viewers.
One Palestinian supporter said, “Netanyahu regime is ethnical cleansing Gaza by attacking innocent civilian and bombing the hospitals”.
Dana Garadah of Cincinnati said, “Israel pours down hundreds of rockets everyday on my family back in Gaza.” This is after the Hamas led attack on Israel in October.
“Our neighborhood is completely gone now,” she said. “This is nothing new to us.”
She said, every other media channel propagates US based Israel propaganda for the financial backing. She alleges media lies to be the center of this immediate crisis.
“You don’t have to be Palestinian to stand with us. You just have to be human,” she said.
When asked about the Hamas attack on Israel, she said she didn’t want to talk about that.
A 39-year old man drove a black sedan towards the Palestinian supports before getting out of his car. He then chased a female protester. As he ran towards the girl, large number of protesters gather around him to detest her from the girl. As the crowd cornered him, he aired his pistol shooting onto the air. The man was arrested by the sheriff department. The police notified that the 39-year old man was form chicago, and carried a permit to hold a gun. He won’t be charged.
The organizer of the event said, “We wanted to come together to make it unequivocally clear that we stand with the people of Gaza and Palestine. It’s our right to protest, it’s constitutionally protected. You cannot demand that protest ends.”
A 71-year old man is facing a charge of first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder, he fatally stabbed a 6-year old Muslim boy and critically wounded her 32-year old mother with a knife. Police said, this was a hate crime.
