The Bolivia Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday that the government had decided to cut ties with Israel, accusing it of committing crimes against humanity in its attacks on the Gaza Strip, according to Reuters. Bolivia condemned the Israeli atrocities and considered them as war crimes.
Deputy Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani said at a press conference “Bolivia decided to break diplomatic relations with the Israeli state in repudiation and condemnation of the aggressive and disproportionate Israeli military offensive taking place in the Gaza Strip.”She added: “We demand an end to the attacks” in the Gaza Strip “which have so far caused thousands of civilian deaths and the forced displacement of Palestinians,”
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the decision, stressing that it reflects the true Bolivian position in solidarity with the rights of the Palestinian people and refusing to see these massacres committed against them.
Minister of the Presidency Maria Nela Prada declared that they would send humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Neighbors Colombia and Chile also recalled their ambassadors as a way of manifesting their condemnation of Israeli attacks and calling for a ceasefire. The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, posted on X: “Faced with the unacceptable violations of international humanitarian law that Israel is committing in the Gaza Strip, as the government of Chile we have decided to recall the ambassador to Israel, Jorge Carvajal, for consultations. ”Other Latin countries also asked for a ceasefire and stopped the massacres in Gaza including Mexico and Brazil.
