The Broader Context of Terrorism in India
India has a complex history when it comes to terrorism, with various extremist groups operating within its borders. Some of these groups have regional objectives, while others have international affiliations. The presence of such groups has posed significant challenges for Indian security agencies.
The state of Kerala, where Kochi is located, has not been immune to these challenges.
