Match highlights
USA lost the toss and went into bat in the first innings. Batting at the beginning, the United States scored 110 runs after losing 8 wickets at the end of the last over. Opener Shayan Jahangir made his way to the pavilion with the first ball bowled by Arshdeep Singh. Top-order batsman Andries Gous returned to the pavilion with 3 runs in the last ball of that over.

Nitish Kumar changed the pace of the game down to five. When no one could stand in front of the cannon of the Indian bowlers, he batted quite comfortably. Steven Taylor struggled a lot in the beginning, but after getting Nitish’s company, he also opened his hands and started playing.
This partnership of 31 runs from 26 balls was broken as Taylor was dismissed by Axar Patel. Taylor could not score more than 24 runs in 30 balls despite hitting 2 sixes.
Nitish continued the run score even after Taylor’s departure. But his resistance was broken by a brilliant catch by Mohammad Siraj on the boundary. Nitish scored 27 runs off 23 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.

In the end, Shadley van Schalkwyk played a cameo of 11 runs off 10 balls. And the US innings stopped at 110 runs. The target for India was 111 run.
