During a cultural dinner on the sidelines of the Dojima River Conference activities in the Japanese city of Osaka yesterday, Saudi Arabia revealed the design of the logo for its pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the meeting of international participants in the exhibition, in the presence of the Mayor of Osaka, Hideyuki Yokoyama, with the participation of delegations of the governments of the Kingdom and Japan, and officials from other countries participating in the exhibition.
Regarding this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Kingdom’s participation in the International Expo Exhibitions, Hamid bin Muhammad Fayez, said: “The Kingdom and Japan share deep cultural traditions. The two countries established diplomatic relations for the first time in 1955 AD, and they will celebrate the 70th anniversary of these relations when they launch… Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan
He added: “The heritage of the two countries is embodied in hospitality, generosity, a sense of community unity, and deep respect for others, and at a time when the Kingdom is moving forward to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by diversifying the sources of its economy and maximizing the volume of cultural exchange, we look forward to celebrating our shared values at the Expo.”
In turn, the CEO of the Architecture and Design Arts Authority, Dr. Sumaya Al-Sulaiman, stated that the Saudi pavilion embodies the prevailing harmony in Saudi-Japanese relations, and tells a story filled with determination, spirit, and innovation, and this exceptional architectural design represents a number of basic concepts; These include: a commitment to authenticity, human-centeredness, livability, and technical advancement, and demonstrates an unprecedented dedication to sustainable practices.
For his part, Othman Al-Mazyad, Commissioner General of the Saudi Pavilion participating in Expo Japan 2025 Osaka, Kansai, said: “The partnership that unites the Kingdom with Japan opens the doors of ambition wide. There is no doubt that the Kingdom’s pavilion participating in the Expo represents a nation undergoing an ambitious transformation, celebrating its rich heritage. It embraces modern transformations.”
He added: “Today we have an opportunity to review the design of the pavilion, which expresses our common journey that started from a deep and common cultural heritage, and aims to build an advanced and comprehensive future.”
The design of the Saudi pavilion and its logo showcase the history of the Kingdom in the form of a story that takes participants on a journey to explore the Kingdom’s cultures, traditions, and values that form the basic pillars of its identity. The pavilion highlights the unique, radical transformation taking place in the Kingdom today, and its contributions to creating a better future for the world. The Kingdom’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, comes within the framework of the long and strong relations it has with Japan. At this ceremony, the two countries celebrated the increase in the volume of investment, tourism, and cultural exchange between them.
