Katy Perry is finally making her much awaited musical comeback.
The American singer, who recently exited “American Idol” after serving as a judge for seven years, announced her new single on X (formally known as Twitter) and Instagram.

The titled of the song is “Woman’s World,” it will be released on July 11, with a music video to follow on July 12.
“Woman’s World” is the first single from Katy Perry’s upcoming sixth studio album, the title of which and release date have yet to be revealed.
However, Perry did disclose the sleek cover art for her new single, which was shot by Jack Bridgland. The Grammy-nominated singer also shared a brief clip of “Woman’s World” on Instagram, which features Perry singing along to the upbeat track while wearing the same Mad Max-like outfit from the album art.

Katy Perry’s new era begins
This new single marks a significant return for Katy Perry, whose last album, Smile, was released nearly four years ago in August 2020.
Smile included hits like “Daisies” and its title track but fell short of commercial expectations, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
Despite this, Katy’s resilience and artistry have continued to shine through.

In the interim between albums, Perry captivated audiences with her Play residency in Las Vegas, which ran from 2021 to 2023.
The residency concluded last November with a tantalizing message, “See you next year,” hinting at the exciting projects ahead.
Reflecting on her time in Las Vegas, Perry said, “The Play residency was an incredible experience that allowed me to connect with fans on a deeper level. Ending it with a promise of new music felt like the perfect way to transition into this new chapter.”
