Egypt hosted the Cairo Summit for Peace on Saturday calling on a ceasefire and sorting out a solution to stop the escalation of war in Gaza.
Arab leaders attended the summit to declare their denouncement for killing the civilians and rejecting the evacuation of Palestinians.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underscored that Palestinians would not be displaced or driven off their land.
“We won’t leave, we won’t leave,” he told the summit.
“Egypt has declared condemnation in the clearest terms, the targeting, killing, and intimidation of all peaceful civilians.,” El-Sisi said.
The Egyptian president stressed that these practices, including collective punishment, blockade, starvation, and pressure toward forced displacement, run counter to the principles of international law and the agreements established by the civilized world to prevent such actions.
The Egyptian president also reiterated that Cairo rejects the displacement of Palestinians from their land under any circumstances.
