Trump’s over-piling legal defenses does not seem to rest as Arizona’s grand jury indicts several pro-Trump associates against their unlawful – 2020 fake elector scheme
A grand jury of Arizona courthouse on Wednesday held eighteen culprits guilty of using forgery to aid the former President in his tooth and nail willingness to win the 2020 Presidential elections. The eleven fake electors indicted were charged for conspiracy, forgery and fraud. The rest seven are high-profile affiliates of Trump who were indicted for aiding the “unindicted conspirator number 1” aka Donald Trump.
“Arizona’s election was free and fair. The people of Arizona elected President Biden. Unwilling to accept that fact, the defendants charged by the State Grand Jury allegedly schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency”, dictated Kris Mayes, Democratic attorney general of Arizona, in a video posted on her X page.
Beyond the eleven fake electors who shared determination to ensure Trump’s winning candidacy from the state of Arizona for the 2020 presidential elections, seven close allies of Trump have been charged with aiding in the scheme: Mark Meadows, John Eastman, Boris Epshteyn, Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, Christina Bobb and Mike Roman.
The official indictment says: “In Arizona, and the United States, the people elected Joseph Biden as president on November 3 2020. Unwilling to accept this fact, defendants and unindicted co-conspirators schemed to prevent lawful transfer of the presidency to keep unindicted co-conspirator 1 in the office against the will of Arizona’s voters. This scheme would have deprived Arizona voters of their right to vote and have their votes counted.”
Jury forges Biden’s Arizona victory unambiguous
Biden won Arizona by more than 10,000 votes during 2020 elections, a close margin for a state steeped in electoral prejudice and voter fraud. Dismissing claims of trickery in Arizona’s vote-count, the jury on Wednesday reinstated its belief in free and fair conduction of 2020 elections where Joseph Biden was unambiguously declared the winning nominee.
Arizona’s Supreme Court judges with Republican affiliation upheld a law that had sparked a nationwide outcry, shadowing the remainder of Republican favoritism in the state. Fearing the downward spiral which Trump’s election campaign might suffer post the judgement, he came full-body to insinuate the judge’s decision as “prejudicial” and must be revoked.
Soliciting immediate revocation by Trump’s army of supporters is a major testament of the significance the state of Arizona holds in the forthcoming elections. The significance the state held in the 2020 elections also, cannot be undermined as it allegedly prompted Trump’s closest allies to coup together into a union to facilitate transfer of Presidentship in the hands of their chosen ally, thus prompting the state jury to investigate against a possible voter fraud.
Arizona’s grand jury is one of many state juries fighting fake elector saga
Arizona fake elector scheme is a tiny drop in the pool of voter fraud gripping American constituencies. Seven states saw similar schemes, but two states – New Mexico and Pennsylvania – hedged their language in their documents enough to prevent prosecution. The Democratic attorney generals of two swing states – Michigan and Nevada have indicted Republican fake electors in their respective states.
In Georgi, three of 16 fake electors were indicted as part of a wider racketeering against Trump and his allies. The rest were given immunity for helping in district attorney’s investigation. Tearing voter trust apart, these schemes have infected the democratic fabric of United States which is representational by its unhindered election process. Uninterrupted investigations have been carried by attorney general’s in states where number of fake electors are in rising.
Mayes’s investigation fell behind other states because she narrowly won office in 2022, and her predecessor, Republican Mark Brnovich had not pursued the line of inquiry. She had confirmed the investigation in early 2023. Mayes said, “the investigation was thorough and professional” and would provide justice for the plot to overturn the state’s electoral votes.”
