American actress Angelina Jolie expressed her frustration at the state of discrimination and duplicity that the world suffers from in the field of human rights.
On 21 Dec, In an interview that she conducted with Syrian Director Waad Al-Khatib, who published a short clip of it on her Instagram account, as part of the documentary film “We Dare to Dream,” Jolie confirmed that she discovered the truth after about 20 years of work in the humanitarian field.
Angelina indicated that she discovered that matters in human rights do not proceed in their true form, adding: “I learned that the world does not proceed in this way, but rather in another way, which is that we will give some people these rights and justice, and perhaps we will give them temporarily to others, but some of them “He will never get it.”
She also referred to food aid with an example: “6% for these, and 50% for those… justice is for these people, but not for those… accountability for this crime and no punishment if there are interests…”, noting that “this is the ugly truth of part “There is a lot of world that we perceive over time.”
Angelina Jolie, a former special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, accused Israel of deliberately bombing children, women and families, and depriving them of food, medicine and humanitarian aid in violation of international law.
Angelina Jolie condemns Gaza bombardment
Last month, Jolie condemned Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza and urged action against the collective punishment of Palestinian civilians.
Posting a picture of the damage in Gaza online, she wrote: “This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population who have nowhere to flee. Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave.”
“40% of those killed are innocent children. Whole families are being murdered. While the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian civilians – children, women, families – are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law,” she said.
She added: “By refusing to demand a humanitarian cease-fire and blocking the UN Security Council from imposing one on both parties, world leaders are complicit in these crimes.”
